Quote of the Week

Beer is the basis of modern static civilization. [...] before beer was discovered, people used to wander around and follow goats from place to place.

  1. It was the will to get as drunk as possible which made our civilization possible, and what it is today.

  3. Usual Stuff, that's certainly true for some of us! (Er, so I've heard...)

Maliha, Haha! Well, don't worry, I'd be the last person to try to convince you otherwise. If you think beer smells bad, you should get a whiff of this stuff over here called "shochu". Very strong smell (but with a pleasing palate...!).

  4. That is beautiful. We are still like that, aren't we, as a world place?

We just don't have a clue, we just kind of follow goats around, from place to place.

  5. Only trouble is goats continue to get lost inside us while we get drunk up to our... ears, don't we?

I agree with Maliha: beer stinks! And tastes horrible. But I never say no to a good cocktail. Cheers!

  6. GT, I figure the goats know where the good "watering holes" are...

Usual Stuff, cocktails are too sweet for me, all that sugar gives me a headache. I guess they're OK for girls, though... (haha!) ;-)

  7. I guess you've tried the in-famous 'daikiri', then, which is considered a girls' drink. Have you ever tried a 'blue orgasm' or a 'Daddy Smurf', or the 007's vodka martini, shaken, not stirred? I guess that one would be bitter enough for any 'macho man', don't you think?
