I like this a lot. Do you ever notice we seem to be turning more and more to the mundane? Ignoring what they - the designers, builders, whatever - seem to want us to be looking at? Nothing new in that, of course, but interesting. Or not. Damn, it's getting late down here.
Glenn, Glad you like the pic. I know what you're talking about, and I suppose I could have taken a picture of the bridge (it's a nice, pretty bridge), but then again anybody can take a picture of a bridge. If I want a picture of a bridge, it's hardly necessary (these days) for me to go out and take one (although, of course, I got lots of "bridge" pictures, too!). I saw the scene in the pic, it looked interesting to me, so I took the shot. If you or anybody else finds it interesting too, well, that's just fucking groovy with me!
A UK girl band called All Saints covered the Chilis' "Under the Bridge" - and left out the important "drew some blood" lyric at the end (which makes the song obviously about heroin). Kinda like a boy band covering "Lola" by the Kinks as if it were about a woman.
Tafkass, When I first heard "Lola" I was a young lad of about 12 years. I loved the tune, but had no idea of it's "true" meaning (hey, I thought she was just a tough chick; "I'm glad I'm a man, and so's Lola" etc.--ambiguities abound!).
