I loved the tune, but had no idea of it's "true" meaning (hey, I thought she was just a tough chick; "I'm glad I'm a man, and so's Lola" etc.--ambiguities abound!).Rickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02630742048605089548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5160223.post-6941091322272201312008-04-28T22:32:00.000+09:002008-04-28T22:32:00.000+09:00A UK girl band called All Saints covered the Chili...A UK girl band called All Saints covered the Chilis' "Under the Bridge" - and left out the important "drew some blood" lyric at the end (which makes the song obviously about heroin). Kinda like a boy band covering "Lola" by the Kinks as if it were about a woman.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5160223.post-71663607613010687102008-04-27T13:23:00.000+09:002008-04-27T13:23:00.000+09:00Glenn,Glad you like the pic. I know what you're talking about, and I suppose I could have taken a picture of the bridge (it's a nice, pretty bridge), but then again anybody can take a picture of a bridge. If I want a picture of a bridge, it's hardly necessary (these days) for me to go out and take one (although, of course, I got lots of "bridge" pictures, too!). I saw the scene in the pic, it looked interesting to me, so I took the shot. If you or anybody else finds it interesting too, well, that's just fucking groovy with me!Rickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02630742048605089548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5160223.post-51540821486056961282008-04-27T13:14:00.000+09:002008-04-27T13:14:00.000+09:00I like this a lot. Ignoring what they - the designers, builders, whatever - seem to want us to be looking at? Nothing new in that, of course, but interesting. Or not. Damn, it's getting late down here.

But I do like the picture.Bigezbearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01518091273245395370noreply@blogger.com
