Halifax (2)

Some more pics of Halifax. (Click to enlarge.)

There are a lot of cool, old buildings like this one in downtown Halifax.

Can't sit outside? Knock out the walls, it's the Halifax way...

Yet another South End street.

This old South End apartment building looks like it must have been a brothel in the past...

There's some nice, new, shiny stuff in Halifax, too.

  1. I used to think that kind of construction techniques were exclusive from Mexico, where we knock down entire sections of the supporting walls just to get better views.
How are you doing with the typhoon? I heard this time it is really powerful. Hope you and your family are ok.

  4. Usual Stuff,
We're fine, thanks. The recent typhoon passed by to the north-west of where we are.
Heh, Haligonians (people from Halifax) may be like the "Mexicans of Canada". It's always a good time for a festival!

    Vanilla,
One day, when you least expect it...

    Verilion,
I think it was probably a hotel back in the day. It's interesting to note, though, that it's on the same street that would become Halifax's (rather small, er... so I hear!) red light district.
