How heartbreaking, to see him there... Then again, there's not much place left by humans, anywhere, for him and most other animals... Very sad, indeed.
Yes, I think it it sad, Vesper. I really enjoy going to the zoo, especially now that I have a child, but when I think about it I have conflicting emotions, especially with regard to some of the bigger and/or "smarter" animals.
That is THE Blake poem. He wrote more things, but that is BLAKE for me. Touching idea. Are you all right after the earthquake? I'm kinda concerned, you know...
I can see the place for zoos, but I still don't like them. Poor tiger. ):
hey kyklopshaven't been to yours for ages, loved your straight talking analysis of the lowri affair over at billy bob's - she is too depressing for words.zoos make me sad, but i know they can be educational, and some of the animals are happy enough, but seeing this tiger is just heartbreaking.
Usual Stuff,Thanks, we're OK here, the earthquake was quite a bit north of where we are. Yes, Blake is good.Verilion,My sentiments pretty much echo yours.NMJ,Yeah, long time no see! "Depressing" is probably one of the nicer things I could say about that Lowri character...It really is sad to see tigers, lions, etc. in such small cages.
