Probably not. I see this stuff all the time, so it's almost part of the background. Believe me, tons of paper have been devoted to writing about it-- pro, con, and neutral (not to mention web pages).
The type of place advertised here is actually pretty ho-hum stuff in Tokyo (i.e. it sounds/looks weirder than it actually is, and it's much less common than Western media would lead you to believe). As for this particular place in Manila, well... I wouldn't be surprised by anything; but I really don't know.
Am I being overly sensitive to find this kind of creepy?
