Glenn, If the wreath looks OK, credit goes to my kid! As for the beads: like so many other NOLA things you mention, I had to Google it. I can't say with certainty if they're the real thing or not, but imagining it makes the whole endeavor worthwhile to me! The wreath, by the way, is now decorating my father-in-law's hospital room.
Thanks for asking, Glenn. His surgery went fine, and his ticker is strong, but he's been having to put up with a series of infections (that "hospital" one, the name of which escapes me). He's still complaining about the food, so I think he'll eventually be OK.
