This is deeply surreal. I can't for the life of me work out what it is, but it feels full of symbolism, or should be full of symbolism. And no, I am not going to analyse it! ;-)
AV, Hehe, believe it or not, this is pretty much exactly what I saw when I took the shot (I only tweaked brightness/contrast and cropped it a bit... oh yeah, I flipped it upside down--I haven't learned to defy the basic laws of physics yet!). As for symbolism, well, I just saw a cool shot. Like Freud himself said, sometimes a rocket is just a rocket... ;-)
Okay, I'm going to be deeply dense here but I still can't actually figure out what the shot is about. Is it a shot of rocket (she says who has obviously never seen a rocket other than in movies) and if it is a rocket what's it doing where it is? And where is where it is? And did you take the shot, flip it upside down and the merge upside down with right side up? You have no idea the crick I'm getting in my neck trying to see the pic the other way round! :-) Oh, wait, hang about - a reflection of a rocket in a lake? Apologies if I'm being really thick! I think I'm going to need to lie down now!
AV, Heehee! Yeah, it's a rocket (or, I guess, a replica). It's parked in front of the science museum/planetarium here in Miyazaki. It's next to a park that has a small fish pond. The shot is just a reflection of the rocket in the pond flipped upside down. Download it yourself and flip it back, and it won't seem so messed up! I was just fooling around with this one and when I saw it upside down (like it is now) I thought, whoa! gotta post this!
