Eerie and intriguing - I know that's not appropriate with the subject matter. I guess for me that Jacob Stein suspended statue is sort of the ultimate war memorial - can't find it on google.
Susan, I know what you mean about subject matter and appropriateness, but "eye of the beholder" and all that. I doubt whoever made this would be put out in any way by your comment. In this case I think it's useful to view the entire park as the "work" and individual monuments, etc. as "details."
