Google is a strange universe - to understand your reply to my comment I went from Hendrix up to "mondegreen":
"A mondegreen is the mishearing or misinterpretation of a phrase, typically a standardized phrase such as a line in a poem or a lyric in a song, due to near homophony, in a way that gives it a new meaning." (wikipedia, of course)
English is so complete! It has a word for this phenomenon ;-)
More memories here - my bad ear for English lead me to listen "They created paradise to put up with this fucking life..." LOL. Thank you!
