Glenn, It's hit and miss, but I think the public toilets over here are a bit more tended-to than the ones in N. America. There are also many conveniently placed where you'd never see one back home. There's one not a hundred meters from my condo. It's saved me on a few drunken evenings.
Your bathrooms over there are sure nicer than the ones we have here.
