  2. Something so self-reliant in this. It's having a personal effect on me, something about the generations, the lives and events passed in and around the place. Sorry, I'm having a "Spoon River" moment.

    I'm glad you both like the pic, and thank you for your comments! There's a riverbank just behind this church where I used to go swimming every summer (it's just a few hundred meters from my mother's house). The building itself, so far as I can tell, has been in disuse for several years--closer up you can see broken windows, etc. Some of the headstones in the cemetery are recent, though, so it appears there is still a congregation somewhere...
