But I did check it up in the dictionary. Apparently denude means the same as "desnudo" in Portuguese. I either need an English teacher or a Portuguese one.
But then again, you might be joking and I failed to get the pun... I am very dumb sometimes, you know...
I looked it up, too, Claudia. It has two meanings in English, one having to do with being stripped bare, the other a geological term meaning "to expose by erosion". Same as "nekkid".
So what's wrong with "nekkid"?
ReplyDeleteBald, Bare...
ReplyDelete"Denude" is just such a goofy word. It means the opposite of what you might guess it means. Like, if something's "nude," how do you de-nude it?

ReplyDeleteOk guys!
ReplyDeleteNow I am looking up the word "goofy" in my old (not updated) dictionary....
Claudia,
ReplyDeleteJust imagine Mickey's friend Goofy and you'll have a pretty good idea of what "goofy" means.
