Glenn, Actually it's pretty similar to what's used in N. America. Quality will vary according to location of the toilet, although overall quality is perhaps lower (less strength, rougher, etc.) than that in N. America (at least that's my personal impression).
When you say "times are changing" do you mean the economic situation is forcing people to buy the cheap, rough stuff?

Not yet from what I can see. You watch commercials and you'd never know there was a problem. Rents are still high, property still goes in the 6 to 7 figures and beyond. Everything in the US is denial accompanied by rosy perception.
What kind of toilet paper do you guys use? Is it, like, ultra-soft or coarse? Is it narrow - or what? Just asking cause times are changing back here.
