Unfinished Sweet

Ack... In a few minutes I'll be making my 18th trip to the dentist's since September. Extractions, root canals, filing, grinding, drilling, scraping, digging, needles injected directly into exposed nerves, the indignity of being "taught" how to brush my teeth correctly...

I grow weary...

  1. Ow and double ow. Maybe you should have them all taken out and resort to false teeth...
    Ouch, no, stop that!

And anyway, I after that clip, I need to get my hearing aid sorted.

PS you've been tagged, I mean infected... over at my place.

  2. I need to haul my ass to the dentist, too. For a long time, I was able to say I couldn't do anything because he hadn't come back after Katrina; but I hear he has now. Damn. Soon it'll be time to bite the bullet, so to speak.

  3. AV,
Hmm... going to the dentist, or being tagged...

You're probably like the vast majority who had regular check-ups. I didn't go for 35 years (my teeth looked ok and I didn't have any toothaches--why go if you're "OK"?). A hard lesson learned...

  4. I hope to avoid all that you just mentioned.
My teeth hurt just reading about it.

I go to the dentist every 6 months, I found one who is very nice, and pretty. And she has the only male (cute too) dental receptionist I have ever met. Maybe it would help (you to go more often) if you could find one who is easy on the eyes, while she jabs away at your teeth.

  5. Taff,
A "pretty" dentist sounds good, but I'd worry about associating pain with beauty!

  6. ... he indignity of being "taught" how to brush my teeth correctly...

That's the worst, isn't it? It's the same kind of annoyance as being pulled over by a cop half your age and having to submit to a lecture about safe driving, just for going a little fast.
